A while ado I made the small website to raise awareness of some social engineering techniques. Just a reminder, not all that pretty as it seems to be. >>
How to stay safe on the internet
The second hand bought Hobby Craft desk. I printed some artworks for my wee boy's desk to give him a bit of inspiration. You can find here Salvador Dali, R. H. Giger, Beksinski, etc... I tried to avoid main stream super hero stuff or popular gaming motives. Kind of worked, didn't get him in to the art itself but he recognises some artists - I've been told that Esher is missing - it made me feel good.
Just printed in the office laser printer sliced design 3x3 A4 pages, Gimp could help. As a glue, I think I used some repositionable photos glue. - any water based could damage the print. and once dried - I'd recommend at least two days, just to be sure, varnished it. I used some PU varnish from Halfords (I assume automotive standard), went with many layers, seriously it is pretty thick (perhaps epoxy would be better). before last layer I sanded smoothly up to 800 grit (wet). and last one went nicely glossy. Added some orange spray paint and as easy as that - done. a bit of time consuming, but definitely worth it.Â
A wee test of how would fit sequential indicator in to the rear light casing of the Morris Minor ( my forever unfinished project). I know, many would consider it a blasphemy, but I just tested the idea. Quick Arduino program. 0.5W leds (piranha?) with 150mA driven with some voltage regulator with limited power output ( I think it was AMS1117 3v3) - some quick and dirty setup. It kind of worked. I didn't develop it any further.
